Potatoes
Sorry, but we cannot ship potatoes outside of Canada.
Seed potatoes ship in March and April only. They are perishable, so we need to receive and ship them as quickly as possible.
Potatoes aren't just about starch. In fact, potatoes are one of the best known all-around bundles of nutrition due to their balanced and available protein content. Potatoes are adaptable, delicious, and have incredible yield potentials making them an excellent choice for home gardeners and market growers (expect 10 times more potatoes than you plant).
Potatoes, being members of the Solanum family, are closely related to tomatoes. After flowering, some varieties will produce small green fruits that look quite a bit like cherry tomatoes.
Chieftain Organic (Red)
A mid-season variety, CERTIFIED ORGANIC Chieftain potatoes have oval to oblong tubers with smooth bright red skin, shallow eyes and white flesh. Its seed potatoes are a high-yielding variety that is widely adapted and stores well. Chieftain is also good for boiling, baking and making french fries.
Mderately resistant to late blight, common scab, rhizoctonia, silver scurf, stem-end browning, tuber net necrosis, and verticillium wilt. Susceptible to black leg, fusarium dry rot, leaf roll, phoma rot, PVX, and PVY.
PLEASE NOTE: Potatoes are shipped separately in March unless you ask for your seeds to ship together.

Kennebec
CERTIFIED ORGANIC! Grown in Canada since 1951, Kennebec HEIRLOOM potatoes were first bred in Maine ten years earlier. Kennebec potatoes produce high yields of oblate tubers with creamy buff skin over white flesh. These make wonderful French fries! Plants are spreading at maturity, and require close planting at 15-20cm (6-8") between plants. Kennebec is a medium/late maturing variety with excellent storage quality - but note: Kennebec is notorious for colouring up green skins if not stored in the dark.
Field resistant to PVA and PVY. Resistant to tuber net necrosis. Moderately resistant to foliage late blight, black leg, fusarium dry rot (F. coeruleum), phoma rot, potato wart, seed-piece decay, PVS, and PVX. Susceptible to common scab, fusarium dry rot (F. sambucinum), tuber late blight, leaf roll, pink eye, and rhizoctonia. Highly susceptible to verticillium wilt.
PLEASE NOTE: Potatoes are shipped separately in March unless you ask for your seeds to ship together.

Russian Blue Organic
Russian Blue is a late season HERITAGE variety and we offer CERTIFIED ORGANIC. Dark purple skin on round to oblong tubers, plants are very heavy setting so give them more room in the row. It withstands dry conditions better than most. Their texture is much like a russet so they are good to bake or mash, cook as French fry or even make into chips; but they also can be steamed or boiled. Roasting or grilling the halves will actually darken the colour and is most recommended, as the mild taste needs help with herbs and seasonings.
Moderately resistant to late blight, hollow heart, second growth, shatter bruise, PVA, PVM, PVX, PVS. Susceptible to PVLR, PVY, common scab, bacterial ring rot, and black leg.
PLEASE NOTE: Potatoes are shipped separately in March unless you ask for your seeds to ship together.
