Romanesco types are especially handsome choices for edible landscaping. One stalk of cooked broccoli gives you 75mg of vitamin C, 1300 IU of beta carotene, 3g of protein and 5g of dietary fibre with only 40 calories.

The varying growth rates of these 3 vigorous hybrid varieties will provide a variety of flavours and an extended harvest period of about 2 months from a single sowing date. We suggest one early spring sowing and one again in late May or early June to give a nearly continuous harvest of big, succulent broccoli heads to enjoy until fall. All varieties make big side-shoots after the central head is cut. Some varieties grow faster than others; so do not discard the slower growing seedlings.
