Lavender

Can you ever have too much lavender tucked around the garden? Freeze only the seeds you wish to plant for 2-7 days. Demands sharp drainage-avoid peat in starting mix and add sand and/or vermiculite. Barely cover, germinates in 14-21 days in warm soil. Do not use a plastic lid or covering. If germination is low after 3-4 weeks lower temperature to 5-10°C (40-50°F) for 2 weeks, then raise it again. Small plants may require protection to over winter.
