Dill
The leaves and seeds of dill perk up everything from soup to pickles. The flower heads of dill are one of the very best nectar sources for beneficial insects in the garden. For use in dill pickles plant dill one week before cucumbers and then plant again several times for a continuous supply all summer.
Bouquet Dill
Compactl plants grow 75-90cm (30-36") tall, and are full of flavour. This variety is particularly good for bunching for the market table, and works well in containers or smaller herb gardens. Bouquet has large seed heads and large seeds. All dill varieties are attractive to wasps that control the Small White butterfly.
Dukat
Dukat offers a particularly fine bouquet and flavour. The darker-than-usual leaves are excellent fresh or dried. Exceptionally large seed heads. Dukat is the variety to grow for homemade dill pickles, and can be grown in a large container in full sun.
Fernleaf Dill
A dwarf variety of dill, growing to only 30-45cm (12-18"), Fernleaf dill bears tidy, bright yellow umbels that quickly ripen into masses of seed. The foliage maintains its distinct aroma and goes very nicely with fish or can be used in dill pickles.

Long Island Mammoth
Feathery foliage on tall and vigorous dill plants that mature and form seed quickly from large umbels of yellow flowers. Sow Mammoth at the back of the herb or vegetable bed, as plants can reach 2m (6’) tall or more. Harvest the leaves as needed.
