Chervil |
Chervil is a delicate plant with pretty foliage and lacy flowers that make it nearly impossible to find at the markets. To grow chervil, plant the seeds shallowly in well-drained and fertile soil in sun or partial shade and keep the ground moist until germination. Once established, plants self sow reliably every year dduring early fall to form a small rosette that overwinters.

Anthriscus cerefolium
A delicate parsley-like plant with a hint of licorice, its delicate flavour disappears in cooking so add it just prior to serving. Chervil likes to grow in a cool season. Direct-sow in spring or late summer; pick just before flowers open. Self-sows.
