Harvest Tools
Harvest is a joyful time of the season; from the first blushing radishes you pull up to the fattening ears of corn perched on tall stalks of green. However, it can also be a busy and sometimes overwhelming time when everything seems to be ripening and demanding your attention at the same time. Organise work bee parties and line up your family members and friends to help pick in the garden and cook and can in the kitchen. Be ready for a full afternoon of hard work with these handy tools below.

Save your vegetable, herb, and flower seeds for planting in the future with our new Seed Saving Kit. It's easy, economical, and rewarding to save seeds for planting, trading, or giving as gifts. This kit contains twenty re-sealable paper seed envelopes with space to print the seed name, harvest date, and other details; ten vellum envelopes for very fine seeds; three 6 x 9" zip-top plastic storage bags; three desiccant packets to keep your seeds dry; a full-colour instruction booklet and resource list to learn more about seed saving; and a handsome cotton bag to store everything in. Once your seeds are harvested, cleaned, and thoroughly dry, store them inside the seed envelopes and label them clearly for identification. Then tuck the seed envelopes plus one dessicant packet inside the plastic zip-top bag. Tuck this inside of the cotton storage bag, and hang it in your clothes closet where it can remain cool, dry, and away from bright light. Most seeds will remain viable for 3-5 years.
