Bloom time: Late spring to summer.
Stately columns of spurred flowers open one by one from the bottom up, attracting domestic and wild bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds. Flowers are pale sky blue to the deepest, most vivid blue of all flowers.

Sow this annual Delphinium in fall or in early spring, when some risk of frost is still possible. Stunning spires in shades of blue to pink grow up to 1.2mm (4') tall, attracting wild and domestic pollinators. Grow this southern European native in full sun or part shade, but keep soil relatively moist.
