Heirloom Heritage and Certified Organic Seeds

It's our 25th Anniversary this year!

West Coast Seeds began 25 years ago in Vancouver, British Columbia, and has continued under the stewardship of Mary Ballon. A nursing instructor at the University of British Columbia, Mary's love of gardening and fervent belief in "Growing Food" locally has helped motivate a generation of organic gardeners on the West Coast and right across Canada.

As a regional "local" family seed company, West Coast Seed only sells untreated seeds. We specialize in HEIRLOOM, HERITAGE and CERTIFIED ORGANIC seeds for your organic growing, and we stock over 500 varieties of open pollinated and hybrid seeds for your selection. We are certified by the Pacific Agriculture Certification Society and our number is 16-205. West Coast Seeds is a Certified Handler of Organic Seed.

Please browse through our new website, which is being updated daily with new varieties, trial results and seasonal gowing advice. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Our BC phone number is 604 952 8820.

To read more about Mary "growing food"  trial garden results, and articles about organic seeds, visit Mary's Garden on this web site. There is also a blog and other data to assist the grower.
